Devon Yurt and The Granary B and B are planning to re open for the 2020 season on July 4th in line with government guidelines regarding the corona virus.  Please be assured that we will do everything possible to make your stay here as safe as can be,  at the same time ensuring safety for our own family who share Borough Farm with you,  our guests.

Firstly,  if you are new to Devon Yurt,  you may not realise how ample the private space each of our guests has to enjoy.  The farm occupies 18 acres of prime Devon pastureland,  each yurt as its own parking bay, paddock,  fire pit,  private hot tub, outside dining area, washing and toilet facilities.

This season we will be asking our guests to depart a little earlier than normal and check in a little later to allow ample time for deep and thorough cleaning of the yurts,  the toilet facilities,  the hot tubs and the store area.

Check in will be either a socially distanced personal tour,  or if you would prefer,  we can send you detailed information when we confirm your booking.  We are providing videos which you can download to show you how to light the yurt fire and how to heat your hot tub etc.  We are always at the end of the phone should you need assistance and as we live on site we are always here to help.

Due to the Corona Virus situation we will not be bringing food to the yurts this season.  Guests can pre order a self cook breakfast hamper or barbecue hamper which will be assembled and placed in the fridge ready for your arrival. Out local farm shop at strawberry fields also have a fantastic on line shop and food can be collected from there on a click and collect basis as you pass through lifton on your way to Borough Farm.  Roots and Vines in Tavistock also deliver fruit and veg boxes which could be pre ordered.

Upon departure,  we will ask guests this season to empty their hot tub – simply turn the tap to empty,  sort their recycling into the correct boxes and strip the bedding from the beds and place in laundry bags.  The bed linen will be washed at 60 degrees plus for hygiene reasons,  cushions and sheepskins will be provided fresh for each guests and all crockery and cutlery will be put through the dishwasher at a high heat setting. All these procedures will help to keep both yourselves and our staff safe and we thank you for that.

Hand washing facilities,  paper towels and sanitiser will be provided on an ad lib basis for our guests for the duration of their stay.  Should you have any questions regarding your stay please get in touch with Julia who will happily answer them.
