The Loft for Events and Parties
Launched in spring 2017, The Loft is a wonderful space to rent at Devon Yurt for events and parties, adding to our already established facilities including, two luxurious holiday yurts, our delightful Granary room for rent and a sumptuous bath tent here at Borough Farm. With Oak Framed glazing, skylights and a partially glazed end wall, the room is a bright and airy space during the day and has a great atmosphere at night.
During the day
The barn can be used for breakfast… or yoga…. or somewhere to get Wi-Fi (but don’t tell the kids) and catch up on what’s going on in the world (if you want to!)
We can serve home made food at lunch time on vintage trestle tables, for a meal with friends or family in a relaxed setting, seated on old church pews adorned with cushions and our very own sheepskins.
At night
With added candlelight, tea lights or fairy lights running along the oak topped walls of the 40 foot long barn the area is transformed into a heavenly party space which you can theme to suit your function. You can choose to pay a cover charge for use of the party barn which will include setting your tables with linen, glass, crockery, candles and flowers fresh from the garden – not to mention we do the washing up! or a complete service offering a delicious, low food mile, seasonal two course dinner from £20 per head.
Group Bookings
Reserving the whole site at Borough Farm, you will be able to enjoy both yurts, the shower room, the bath tent, The Granary and The Loft exclusively for yourselves. We can accommodate a maximum of 10 adults or 6 adults and 6 children plus two infants here at Devon Yurt.
Enjoy evening BBQs around the campfire, sleep under the stars in one of our luxurious yurts, snuggle up in an antique French bed with scrumptious bed linen, take a long soak in our tented, wood-fired bath or gather together in The Loft for good food and conversation, the choice is yours, with so much to do in the area you will wish you had booked to stay for longer! From beach trips to wonderful moorland walks, exploring the gardens in the valleys, tree surfing, kayaking, horse riding on the moors, rock climbing, or simply enjoying a delicious Devon Cream tea – the choices are seemingly endless!
For Group bookings, we offer a minimum of three nights at weekends. Groups must book all accommodation units.
