We are delighted to announce that Devon Yurt was awarded the Silver award in the south west tourism excellence awards presented in Exeter Cathedral on Thursday 7th February.  The Glamping and Alternative Accommodation category was hotly contested from businesses within Devon Cornwall, Avon, Somerset, Dorset, Gloucestershire and Wiltshire.  Over 700 businesses entered the awards and there were around 100 prizewinners.

From those businesses shortlisted, Devon Yurt beat, fellow Devon Businesses Devon Dens and Blackdown yurts as well as three Somerset businesses and one from cornwall who were either awarded Bronze or commended awards.

It was a fantastic evening spent in the dramatic setting of Exeter Cathedral, with all the top tourism businesses within the south west who were keen to celebrate their respective successes in the awards.

The Judges comment on Devon Yurt was “a lovely mix of stunning views, and lots of space and privacy”.  

With Luxury and sustainability as core values in the business,  together with the connection with the landscape and its animals gives Devon Yurt its USP.  Over the 12 years the business has been running Devon Yurt has listened to its guests and modified the facilities to become the top quality award winning business it is today.
