About The Shippon
The Shippon is our newest conversion at Borough Farm; a spacious, thoughtfully designed barn suite for two. With soft textures, rustic tones and carefully restored features, it’s a serene place to slow down and reconnect.
Inside, you’ll find a calm open-plan layout with a king-sized bed, comfy seating, a small kitchenette and a large picture window looking out to the courtyard and distant hills. Watch the ponies resting their heads on the stable doors, chickens scratching the yard, and white doves flutter past.
The generous en-suite bathroom includes an antique roll-top bath – perfect for soaking after a day on the moors – with robes, soft towels and simple vintage charm.
Outdoors, a stable door leads to a sitting area with a BBQ, fire pit and space to enjoy warm evenings and dark skies. You might toast marshmallows, sip something cold, or simply take in the quiet.
Just 10 minutes from Brentor Church and Dartmoor’s open landscapes, The Shippon is ideally placed for walking, wild swimming, and visits to local favourites like Lydford Gorge, Buckland Abbey, or the North Cornwall coast. - 10% reduction for single occupancy, Sunday to Thursday
- The Shippon check-in is between 4 pm and 7 pm and check-out is by 10 am.
