For the 2019 season all of us here at Borough Farm are raising money for Cancer Research UK.  A charity which has touched us as a family and a very worthy cause indeed.  Our fund raising endeavours began back in February when Julia, Andrew and Izzy took to the streets of London to run in the cancer research 10k winter run – it was a great day and well worth the effort not only of running the race but of getting the animals looked after at home by lovely Laura and team whilst we escaped for a night in the big smoke !  A total of over £500 was raised during this run.  For the remainder of the season,  we are asking for donations for postcards, the use of the washing machine and tumble drier and for borrowing wetsuits,  boards and beach equipment,  all money will go to Cancer Research.  In addition,  we are selling our well respected horse dung compost at the end of our farm lane – it is selling really well and hardly a day goes by when a pound or two isn’t added to the jar by Borough Farm gates,  thank you to all our local gardeners who are utilising this product. Our year ends with our last fundraising event of the year in the form of some christmas wreath making workshops in The Loft,  led by the lovely Deborah of Dartmoor Flowers, this is a really jolly seasonal event and very much looked forward to by all involved.
